Abstract
Scientific publishing is a cornerstone of research dissemination, yet early-career scientists often face challenges in navigating the process effectively. This presentation provides practical guidance on preparing, submitting, and revising manuscripts, with emphasis on ethical considerations, clarity, and impact. We also explore the emerging role of artificial intelligence (AI) models, such as ChatGPT, in supporting scientific writing, literature review, and idea generation. While these tools can enhance efficiency and assist with language refinement, their use requires transparency, critical evaluation, and adherence to journal policies. Best practices include using AI for drafting and editing under human oversight, verifying accuracy, and disclosing AI involvement where required. Common pitfalls to avoid include uncritical acceptance of AI-generated content, plagiarism, fabrication of data or references, and overreliance that diminishes scientific rigor. By combining traditional scholarly skills with responsible AI integration, young scientists can streamline their workflow while maintaining the integrity and credibility of their research.
